My son is almost two years old–or just 22 months in mommy-speak. Since he started walking, he’s had a 104-degree fever, a tick bite that developed a bulls-eye rash, an allergic reaction that sent his temperature to 102 degrees and caused lethargy within an hour, a suspicious bug bite on a swollen finger, and a bloody nose and split lip from falling at the playground. All of these afflictions sent us straight to the doctor.
